Since first joining the n5MD roster in 2013, Zaragoza has consistently expanded the artistic possibilities of the Ocoeur project. Greener Grass, Clearer Water represents another significant step forward, demonstrating an artist increasingly comfortable allowing restraint, patience, and subtlety to become primary compositional tools.
Cosmos in Collision’s Unwound arrives two years after The Passage of Time and confirms the direction of an ever-evolving project, capable of building dense and cinematic atmospheres. The cover artwork is an original watercolor by Cosmos in Collision, visually translating the narrative arc of the record: three chromatic fields blending from indigo to black, crossed by a white thread that slowly thins until it disappears.
Somatic Responses and John Healy, specifically on this release, have spent over three decades refining the specific space between force and sweetness that their catalog occupies. Operational Ambivalence doesn’t reinvent that space. It just inhabits it with the kind of confidence that comes from thirty years of knowing exactly where you live.
Kine 3 is a newer sound built off the classic. Roel Funcken has described the Kine series as emerging from a need to process a large body of work—dividing material into categories, finding what felt raw and process-driven and unfinished in the best possible way.

Biogenes Resources is a testament to what a new generation of Russian electronic artists would do. The hope and whimsy that permeate the album hark back to a time of potential, where possibilities stretched across the many time zones of the vast Eastern land. In this reproduction, using the original MIDI files, the past reminds us of both the preciousness of our freedom of expression and that such expression can never be stifled.
Human Music: Live Improvisations I serves as both a statement and a philosophy. What I hear is a collection of live performance recordings, each about 6-7 minutes long, one player/performer using layers and loop technology to play many instruments at once in a live setting, creating classical flavored music improvisations and instrumental expressions with haunting vocals that are entirely without word content, just emotional tones that bend and transmit.
