While not exactly minimal, (as the songs sound quite large) the tracks are somewhat stripped back and given lots of breathing room within themselves, utilizing a less is more approach with great effect.
It’s a baffling journey, or dream sequence rather, where NOXIN takes us through unusual paths, fractured bits and pieces sliced into tinier elements, both structured and deforming before us.
The listener is able to immediately let go and shed the day’s dealings and walk into the tall grass with their hands at their side brushing the tops, feeling the breeze, and taking a deep breath. Consider thyself healed.
The signals swerve, trapped forever between electronic space ambient and interplanetary sci-fi. The final chapter tells the tale, but the various preceding tracks of galactic movie magic theme soundtracks also are each and all awesome.
This is the projects 7th effort, and it seems simple yet conceptual and more complex than it may appear. Don’t forget, especially in this genre, the devil (or angels) are in the details.
