What is the real appeal here though, is the conviction in the use of tempo and pace, as to not get too carried away with the under current of bass and bleeps that is within some of these ambient compositions.

Whilst Quizzik is certainly not new to the music world, their take on experimental electronic music is creating encouraging foundations for future releases.

Evading genre leanings and focused on obscure sound sources, fuzzy tones and drones harken back to a time when IDM planted its roots.
Zainetica :: Transmission Vectors (Rednetic)
A 12-track album based on syncopated downtempo/dubstep beats, dub basslines and dreamy pad synths that can almost take you to a state of trance.
Loess :: Totems (n5MD)
The duo’s signature chilling ambience, sharp percussion elements, and low end rumble are undeniably present—but perhaps with some surprisingly refreshing compositions that deviate from their previous output.
