Blakmoth :: Parallels (Errorgrid)
Equal parts captivating and chilling; the manner in which Blakmoth crafts dark ambient trajectories is simply perplexing.
36 :: Symmetry Systems (Past Inside the Present)
Dennis’ works can range from full-on blissed-out atmospheres, to looping melodic dreamscapes, and Symmetry Systems feels like more of the latter.
Ikuko Morozumi :: Ignition Switch (Detroit Underground)
Teetering on previous industrial forays, Morozumi ascertains a flourishing evolution in style and substance that encounters fresh nuances in glitch and IDM.
TL3SS :: Debride EP (Errorgrid)
An explosive tectonic EP that ventures in the dark sans navigation—grasping at non-linear electronics from the deepest fissures of our Earth’s crust. Simply baffling.
Brainquake + Sven Phalanx :: From The Oblivion Lounge (Mahorka)
Scattered and shattered rhythms echo across the landscape, sometimes fleeting with shifting time signatures that one can almost grasp at.
Netherworld :: Vanishing Lands (Glacial Movements)
Built on repetitive motifs, fragmented and desolate melodious fragments sustained by diversified electronic experimentations.
Badrich :: Forensics (Ohm Resistance)
Creating otherworldly environments built from clanging, acidic, scorched, decomposed and delaminated post-industrial-dub fusions that are best absorbed in one fell swoop.
Nimh :: Iron and Ice (Silentes)
The multi-timbral soundscapes are sometimes punctuated by percussive sections blended with tonal backdrops.
Dfaniks :: L3 (Errorgrid)
This work is quite rich in terms of rhythm and layering details in sound design, while a main glitch aesthetic mark permeates through all tracks.
Stormfield & Mitoma :: Theia EP (Combat)
Perhaps some of the heaviest soundscapes we’ve heard in 2022, Stormfield & Mitoma pack more than the usual punch on Theia EP consisting of 4 original tracks and 5 remixes.
