There’s a darkness that permeates RX_71_0, a nine track album of shuffled beat patches, tones, drones, and buzzing noises and voices that disperse across each piece. Dark ambient veils shift and shatter as broken soundtracks to lost spaces are seamlessly created. Frightening and evolving industrial backdrops rattle the senses, as if coming to life and eventually decaying. ANKUBU manipulates shredded and eroded sounds from distant galaxies as pummeling yet sporadic percussion sets a tone that is chilled and eerie.
