Even if these tracks are filled with audible data bursting at the seams, a bricolage of sound-scraping noises all tend to merge together on Iggle, angular electronics indeed.
Slicing through disjointed glitch veils and distractive drones
Shubharun Sengupta (aka Printiig), an India-based sonic creator delivers the self-released Iggle via Bandcamp. The result is a baffling assortment, seven pieces in all, slicing through disjointed glitch veils and distractive drones (“Fuff”). Subtle melodic slivers cut through a myriad of beat patches—just dive into “Info” and “Roid” as prime examples. Shubharun Sengupta sculpts abstract electronics, and yet it’s when pieces like “Knot” take shape that it all begins to make sense. The smoldering bits and pieces of “Knot” tied to shuffling glitches and bubbling bleeps seem to coalesce if only for a few short minutes. Closing with the microscopic tentacles of “Ground,” and its infiltration of exploratory worlds, it’s clear that Shubharun Sengupta is on to something. Even if these tracks are filled with audible data bursting at the seams, a bricolage of sound-scraping noises all tend to merge together on Iggle, angular electronics indeed.
Iggle is available on Bandcamp.
