Ard Bit :: Ellioth EP (Lowriders)

Rotterdam-based Ard Bit reveals the Ellioth EP for Lowriders and condenses all form of glitch’n soul into one unique audio fabric.

“6002” shimmies about in all directions akin to a buried Plaid artifact, its meandering bass and bubbling melodic synths are pristine and well tempered. “Brizal” and its softly rummaging low-end squabble, elicits a calming drone, fluttering static and a sense of harmonic balance. The title track manifests a brief three minute downtempo passage which unfolds a click-hop flare as classic Tadd Mullinix once produced (ref. Winking Makes A Face, Ghostly 2001). “Copane” pulses via soothing glitches and magnetic twitches but seems to end too soon as Roel Funcken displays his rendition packed with scattered and shattered beats, melodic echoes and scorched rhythmic transits across Ard Bit‘s original. A splendid, relaxed combination of subtle electronics that is replete with cascading tones for late night sonic consumption.
