It might also be fitting to find more quality time and head back to Bonding Tapes’ earlier volumes again.

Overall, Cast Down And Hunted is a powerful release where I doubt I’ll ever play the B-side again; because it’s THAT powerful! But that A-Side might well end up on a ‘best of’ year list.

Similar to Richard Devine’s industrial synth-mechanics mixed with the rhythmic crunch-hop of Gescom, lifeisfeedback (aka Benjamin Chilton / Elevator Sound) sets a memorable tone as he opens an account with GOTO.

With a pulsating four-track manifest titled Nulla Anima, the multitalented audio craftsman disperses hundreds of beats, blips, and bleeps deep into left field.
Maps and Diagrams :: if all will be lost (quiet details)
All in all, this personal take on the quiet details concept exhibits a deftly turned lower-case sound design prowess that bespeaks years of audio craftsmanship, constituting a compelling entry to a growing catalog.
Rontronik :: Zero Eight (Tygr Rawwk Rcrds)
Zero Eight pulls off a rather satisfying mix of noise, ambient, and experimental electronica. The way the record is constantly shifting into new ideas makes it really engaging from front to back, but so does its claustrophobic atmosphere.
V/A :: Quantized Realities – Technology (Errorgrid)
The mighty label Errorgrid is host to an incredible stable of artists working in a wide variety of genres, modes and formats but all reminiscent of “a darker sound of a present future” as the label motto goes. Their Quantized Realities – Technology compilation is a perfect record of the label’s roster and sound.
