Nature of Chaos Vol. 1 flashes skewed electronic listening music—punishing the ears with tangled sub-genre elements and tugging firmly on the heartstrings.

A relatively new compilation (November 2017) that flashes skewed electronic listening music—punishing the ears with tangled sub-genre elements and tugging firmly on the heartstrings. 15 cuts with articulated and bubbling technoid shades (ie. Porps Tavisio, and Naut), ELM certainly know how to best infuse their signature sound to represent the London, UK-based imprint. Porps also dives into drill’n bass / jungle fusion, while his cohorts shuffle enriched digital rhythms (ref. Kelsch, Distant Fires Burning). Nature of Chaos does just what it sets out to do, artists like Dr. Doctor tranquilize individual sporadic effects, to calmer, soothing, frequency bursts. Nike_vomita offers dubbier techno strands and tribal modular bytes while Cranko Pop delivers sizzling 4×4 crunch. Here we see a label that delivers upbeat, punchy, braindance music that gravitates towards the dance floor, but could also be found nestled in far recesses of the minds eye—have a listen to the emotive ambient-electronic tugging on Morphlex’s “Klosure” for a prime (sobering) example.

Nature of Chaos Vol. 1 is available on ELM Collective.
