Sustaining the IDM flame, People Can Listen mark the twentieth entry in their Listen series, offering seventeen tracks that venture to the farthest reaches of IDM and ambient-electronic realms. The trek begins with Access to Arasaka’s “Poe,” a sprawling, haunting soundscape that gradually unfurls into glitch-laden, industrial-IDM bliss. Lee’s “Accelerator” pulses with nostalgic, braindance energy, propelling us through time with precision and emotion. madebyitself delivers a downtempo microcosm on “Horizon,” while Ton Mise’s “A Tokei” drifts serenely, a lullaby of electronica.

In the midst of it all, curators People Can Listen present entrancing moments of fluttering electronics.
