No crowns, no rankings, no runners-up—only records that resonated.
Lorenzo Bracaloni (aka Fallen) crafts ambient music that feels like a quiet departure from the noise of everyday life, guiding listeners into expansive, reflective spaces. Secret Prayers to the Wise Dormant Moon captures this essence beautifully, blending gentle piano with cinematic tones to create a soundworld both intimate and uplifting.
With Clearwater, Maps and Diagrams (Tim Martin) crafts a hypnotic meditation on erosion, decay, and the quiet instability of sound. Blurring the line between ambient composition and sonic disintegration, the album drifts through fractured loops and dissolving textures, revealing beauty in impermanence and space.
Ludovico Franco’s Open Field (Rohs! Record) is a seven-part ambient work blending field recordings, improvisation, and electronics. Inspired by James Tenney, it was recorded outdoors with musicians and audience sharing the space. The result is a series of immersive soundscapes that feel more like living environments than compositions.
Frammenti is a vivid and thoughtful collaboration. Through Mosconi’s detailed sonic worldbuilding, De Dominicis’s intimate vocal work, and Salvadori’s poetic narratives, the album becomes a moving study of memory’s scattered, shimmering remains.
Recorded in live conditions Rebirth/Omen is an intricate and captivating abstract and darkly meditative release with some liturgical and spiritually-everlasting properties.
