Dragon (aka Peter Adjobia, founder of Ryu) continues to impact the experimental electronic scene, shattering ambient motifs with expansive noise constructs. His work with Point Source Electronic Arts, Component, and Errorgrid has not gone unnoticed, and with Between Here and Nowhere for Adventurous Music he elevates the noise. Each piece a behemoth of impenetrable sound-scraping shadows, the sonic pathways that Dragon carves is time stretched turbulence that doesn’t let up. The amount of industrial and mechanical layers pulled from the farthest depths of Dragon’s machinery allows eerily hardened ambient noises to seep through, leaving nothing but sandblasted and tumultuous electronics.
