Inf is the artist and Enough Records label head known as Frederico Oliveira, and this special track entitled “Drops of Water” is one of Fred’s favourite tracks of the last 4 months. “Drops of Water” trickles down the ear-canal quite easily with its delicately laid out ambience, subtle yet persistent melodies and watery beats –a shiny gem in the form of ambient electronic listening music.

Enough’s goal is to release high quality IDM, from artists around the world, on limited releases on vinyl and cd. Aditionally, we want to give exposure to those who want to release their tracks as mp3, through our site.

:: The Start ::
It all began as some kind of joke between me and Manuel, from the Enough Staff. We wanted to release MP3’s online from people with talent that wouldn’t be able to otherwise. Without even imagining it would take a huge chunk of our time, we started working around this idea, and invited Filipe to help us out. Us three would have the page ready for public consumption some time later. It was January 1st, 00:00, 2001. Some people were celebrating New Years Eve –We were on IRC celebrating Enough’s launch. Celebration, the Enough way.

:: Idea behind the MP3 Compilation Dreamers of Dreams ::
The Dreamers of Dreams compilation is a gift back to everybody that’s been helping Enough Records since the day we began. Some people did so much for us, that we had to find a way to give something back. Since we’re all musicians/music lovers, why not give music? From that, to having a free for download MP3 compilation, was a matter of contacting artists.. All the tracks listed below can be downloaded here!

:: Future Plans ::
Well, vinyl and CD pressing is about to start. We’ve planned a few Sampler releases together with Neo Ouija, which will showcase some of our most promising artists, together with Neo’s people. Apart from that, we’ll be releasing a Sense full lenght in 2003, and have our eyes on a couple of artists we’d like to release sound from. Our planned release list will be up on our webpage very soon. Keep an eye open for it.
Apart from the releases, we’ll be revamping our Radio Project. Which means, a full IDM night for bedroom rockers, streaming online, for everybody to enjoy. More info on the Radio Project is available here. We’re hoping to have a couple of stream-based gigs through the radio system too, by some artists we’re friends with, or that work with us on the label.
And then there’s the Live Acts. We’ll soon be setting up a series of gigs from our artists, to feed some IDM to the masses. It’ll be kinda hard, because we’re hosted in the corner of Europe… Portugal. But we’ll give our best shot.
