This erratic EP by Indek seamlessly combines braindance components with disjointed sonic structures.

This erratic EP by Indek seamlessly combines braindance components with disjointed sonic structures. While its external musical elements feel scattered and out of place within the opening title track, there’s a form of semblance that develops deep in the background near its closure. In other places, it appears as though the artist finds it difficult to find common ground. While “Sund” surprisingly reduces everything to its essential drone and atmospheric glitch parts, “Acyn” radiates braindance and breakcore fractures that bounce from every direction. “Sund,” however, seems to be the EP’s turning point, where Indek finds a more serene landscape to simply open up. The last track, “Ixss,” takes further drill’n bass excursions before breaking apart as “Fink” offers a funky robotic beat and experimental electro groove. A bewildering EP of crumpled electronics, yet one that would also fit well on labels such as Evel, Concrete Collage, and Point Source Electronic Arts.
