Anthené :: Stray Light (Floralia)

Anthené never ceases to please our meditative capacity of listening and Stray Light is highly recommended for those who like gauzy shoegazing excursions and warm tonal drones.

Dreamily introspective textures

Floralia is a new K7 indie label founded by Bradley Sean, sound producer behind the moniker of Anthené and also owner of the recently shuttered Polar Sea Records (specialized in delicately crafted reflective ambient music with a melodic heart which sometimes admits a minimal-noisy approach). Anthene is a well established and key representative of modern days ambient; focused on blurred out, melodic-tinged and evanescent drones resonances than ever but here the instrumental composite is central and give a more organic and timeless feeling to the ensemble.

The project notably published albums on Dronarivm, Sound in Silence, whitelabrecs, and Home Normal and Anthené is a familiar name to those interested in the gently moving and delicately drifting soundscapes of wordless ambient—we can think of Forest Management, Hakobune, and Celer. Stray Light delivers dreamily introspective textures and guitar-centric meandering sounds that envelop the listener like a soft wind breeze. The music works perfectly for day-dreaming, and is meticulously cohesive, sensitive and transportive. Anthené never ceases to please our meditative capacity of listening and Stray Light is highly recommended for those who like gauzy shoegazing excursions and warm tonal drones.
