After the radical Ilvnt Dsrpt EP (Detroit Underground, 2023), MTCH (aka Mitch Cramer) decides to take us on a journey through the looming atmosphere of corrupted lost data on Qurv Trysr for Point Source Electronic Arts.

Qurv Trysr assembles complex high-end debris into mysterious structures while raw and gritty unknown buzzes crosses them. It’s a sort of communication, an unknown technology emitting shattered bits of unsorted information. The surreal soundscapes emerging from the abstract sound palette pulls you further into outer space.

The unearthly structures MTCH builds feel all interconnected by their sonic properties, but the different densities on each track reveal nanostructures on “Nil Qon,” “Flit,” and “Trk Vel” while the macrostructures of the title track, “Prst,” and “Re Sept” bring latent, sparse electronic mysteries.

Transmissions travelling in space on “Ncrpt” often approach exoplanets and leave behind them an electromagnetic trail, while “Sqz Rol” interprets chunks of mangled data. The last track “lil” concludes this mesmerizing trip with its last energy reserves, entering interstellar space while navigating through cosmic dust. The micro-mechanical aspects flow smoothly throughout 49 minutes of matter and subatomic explorations.

Leaving its imprints into the audible spectrum as ciphered events, Qury Trysr‘s slow-paced, intricate audio arrangements reveal a blurry, quiet flux of esoteric sound assemblages.
