Adrien d’Elzius :: Straight from the Void (Pt.3) EP (Self Released)

Another excellent extended player filled with transportive electronics, hopefully continuing in the sequence.

Straight from the Void (Pt.3) by Adrien d’Elzius’s is another surreal audio flow that begins with the snips’n snaps splendor of “No viper in a crow’s nest,” where nostalgic IDM flutters in the wind and brittle melodic bubbles burst. “Days by days,” a magnetic sound design composition with slithering low-to-the-floor bass and glitch infusions that consume wide open spaces, is drenched in darkness. The range of expression d’Elzius employs is remarkable; tracks such as “Beauty underneath,” which interjects with mellow reversed rhythmic structures and lullaby drifts, provides just enough of a break before the saccharine groove of “The cosmic kid,” which maintains an otherworldly electronic charm, steals the show. Unexpectedly, Somatic Responses revamps the already silky synth strands of “Beauty underneath,” as BOC hues migrate and then reassemble with what resembles distorted digeridoos transformed into an extremely potent audible Polaroid. Another excellent extended player filled with transportive electronics, hopefully continuing in the sequence.
