Adrien d’Elzius :: Straight from the void (Pt.2) EP (Self Released)

A powerful quintuplet that shows the artists’ range of (e)motion, unafraid to showcase different angles of musical projection.

Five tracks, straight from the void, with Adrien d’Elzius behind the controls, and this time around it’s a hypnotizing foray into ambient electronic soundscapes. More chill than crunch, certainly more electrical than electro, and definitely submerged in a tumultuous bass-laden stew (as the title track attests to.) Adrien d’Elzius doesn’t hold back on this gargantuan sonic manifesto. “Beyond the Chatter” feels as if extruded from The Orb, FSOL, or Funckarma; its lifelike atmospheric swirl and low-end waveforms accumulate and ascend, while tracks like “The others” dabble in technoid and ambient fissures, glitches, and expansive nostalgic echoes. “A few embers is enough” dives even further into post-industrial, bass heavy sound design as Ruben Void’s remix of the title track continues the ebb and flow of exploratory beats and soundtrack layers lost in time. A powerful quintuplet that shows the artists’ range of (e)motion, unafraid to showcase different angles of musical projection.
