Beyond Fine Lines belongs to that line of works that ask for trust. It should be received in half light, at the right volume, allowing the frequencies to work upon the body. Its intensity grows through sedimentation. Each listening opens new folds: a frequency that first escaped notice, a held breath, a sudden accent, a harmonic current crossing the sound field like an omen.
Dark Assembly is at once cold, organic, desolate, and turbulent. The album unfolds like a powerful ascending electronic ritual, shrouded in a vertiginous blackened aura where cinematic tension and spiritual desolation coexist in fascinating balance.
Once voiced by Mason, water becomes both storyteller and observer—flowing through calm, chaos, evaporation, and return. Around this, A-Sun Amissa builds a rich soundscape using drone, classical instruments, processed guitars, synthesizers, and subtle samples.

It’s a meditation within a meditation, nested inside a larger invocation that defines the essence of Actions Made Audible—a work that firmly places itself within the Berlin School of music. Precision-engineered machinery with analog Mellotron tape loops feature layered structures, ambient textures, and an introspective flow.
Tertium Quid admits more emphasize on orchestrated cinematic grooves, chamber-pop melodicism, sampled collage, and spoken word with a clear call to be immersed in a reflective naturescape tendency, inviting the listener to be guided in a sentient vastness where shapes, time, moods, variations and colors are journeying around him.
Well, well, well, what do we have here? “Harsh pop” it seems like, as if I’m supposed to know what that means, but it sure does intrigue me. And skimming through the tracks of this record, I definitely enjoyed the aggression and the really bright synths, so I figured that I might as well properly listen to the entire thing.
Some sort of obscure, magical ritual this is; surely an engaging one, as this Tam Lin LP tries to immediately hypnotize you as it begins. It does succeed, indeed, as you’ll likely be asking yourself what is happening throughout the entire album.
Perhaps what is most astonishing about the flux of noise, beauty, sound, art, collected here is the number of recent recordings from 2018 and 2021. That makes this particular double-album of various artists unique. The other recordings that aren’t new, are rare, or at least difficult to get a hold of. Having them all in one place is a real treat.
