Air Signs rests at its distinct sound. Everything is pieced together very well, and all the noises, melodies, and synths are family—they all align track after track. Deschamps has a gift for cohesion. Even when he’s working with degraded loops, reversed recordings, and heavily processed guitar, nothing feels fragmented. Everything belongs.
Euan grew up in a mostly quiet, non-musical household where records were scarce and music lived mainly in car rides soundtracked by Fleetwood Mac and Whitney Houston—until a childhood Walkman and Lionel Richie cassette sparked a lifelong, deeply personal connection to sound.
Across 2025, hundreds of releases surfaced, with December granted space to settle. From that sweep emerged a carefully shaped collection of favorites, each paired with links to Igloo reviews and release pages. Arrangement follows artist names in alphabetical order, while a snapshot of tracks lives on our Soundcloud playlist, joined by random artwork highlights. No crowns, no rankings, no runners-up—only records that resonated.
Rick Sanders is a Dutch sound artist known for his ultra-limited releases. His new album, The Arrow of Time, released on indie label Dronarivm, blends ambient and electronica to explore time, space, and perception. With hypnotic textures and a visual, atmospheric depth, it appeals to fans of Steve Roach, Vidna Obmana, and Japanese environmental electronica.

An epic imaginary soundtrack for a fanciful film noir. In a dreamlike and nocturnal atmosphere, filled with rain and decaying sounds, In Darkness Let Me Dwell—available on Owl Totem, a “dark vibes” division of Dronarivm Records—deconstructs, reworks and wants to pay homage to the imagery and clichés of cinema noir.
Overall, musically, Vikande blå / Nuages occupies a span of the ambient-drone spectrum that should lure in fans from, say, PITP to 12k, with Aiko T’s more minimal experimental sensibility nearer the latter, and Old Amica’s more fulsome space/post-rock leanings the former. A quality package, as you’ll have come to expect from Handstitched*.
