Shubharun Sengupta :: Interstices (Printiig) — [concise]

Forged from molten noise and fractured signals, Interstices erupts as a singular ascent through glitch-scarred rhythms and microscopic sonic debris, compressing six turbulent extractions into one tightening, otherworldly pulse.

Six sonic extractions, as if lifted from Earth’s molten heart, reveal Interstices, an ascent built from shuffled noise and warped signal work, elevating found sound and crumpled glitch electronics. “Supralineae” unspools disjointed rhythmic deformation, while the Max/MSP crunch within opener “Metalineae” pushes this EP into unfamiliar territory. “Ontolineae” circles with quiet persistence, embracing a minimalist stance toward abstract forms under strain. Clicks and cuts in “Ultralineae” unfold across sleek layers of microscopic ambience, and closing piece “Infralineae” drifts into mechanical soundscapes—light, airy, yet charged with unraveled noise and fractured beats. Bleak blips and errant bleeps shuffle through an avalanche of nonlinear electronics, sealing this collection into a single tightening capsule of interstices.
