A shadowed presence permeates Basement Room, a four-part suite of scattered drums, downtempo dubstep, and creeping darkness, where smothered bass, ghostly echoes, and drifting textures blur time into a surreal, ambient flow.
Dark dub currents pull deep
A shadowed presence surrounds Basement Room, a four-part suite shaped by scattered drums and downtempo dubstep slants. It opens with its title piece, leaning on sleek, smothered bass undulations that pull us back again and again as darkness seeps into every passing second. Time seems to dissolve here; flow turns surreal, while broken rhythmic structures draw us inward, and “Smoke” cuts a familiar path through mayhem built from shuffling percussion and ghostly echoes.
Bubbling electronic currents in “Echo (feat. Otkat & Skoliks)” feel serene yet contemplative, with ambient pulsars shimmering in darkness, faint signals urging movement toward some distant glow. Closing passage “Phobia” summons quiet unease across its brief span, atmospheric subtlety releasing everything in a soft malaise of drifting microsound.
