A fluid descent into murky instrumental realms
OKADOSH unveils Through All, an eleven-part odyssey of decayed textures and fragmented circuitry—a collage of unpredictable tempos, splintered environmental echoes, and primal rhythmic relics spiraling in every direction. A shadowed undercurrent lingers beneath each composition; take “Bound for Release,” a collaboration with IDDO, which drifts through expansive sonic terrain, weaving intricate, Amon Tobin-esque patterns, while the woozy, jazz-tinged downtempo of “Koma in Adamawa” and opener “Angra” quietly derail expectation. It’s amid these surreal audio landscapes that OKADOSH feels most at home. The glitch-kissed percussion and serene chaos of “Farm Me” channels the spirit of Mouse On Mars, while “On The Way To Sana” meanders through a tapestry of global lounge textures and abstracted melodic flurries. Altogether, Through All is a fluid descent into murky instrumental realms—both tranquil and disquieting, familiar yet curiously off-kilter.
Through All is available on Bandcamp.
