PYR opens with the ethereal, fragmented sounds of “The only,” where modular blips and glitchy pulses weave through a maze of minimalistic mechanisms. “BIG” follows, continuing this intricate hypnosis of minimal snaps and crackles, yet it remains cohesively bound by a sense of purpose. As the downtempo, slow-motion funk of “Mamanimalian” unfurls, it provides a smooth contrast, while “P.O.G.” swirls into a vortex of granular melodies, subtly shaped by delicate, evolving alien forms.
