Reshape is a collection of remixed tracks forming an engaging and soothing collection of works. With sources taken from various releases over the last 15 years, it shows not only Spieth’s spectacular work but also that of his contributors including interpretations by Alva Noto, ASC, bvdub, Warmth, Markus Guentner, Simone Giudice, zakè, and Głós. “Akasha (ASC reshape)” is heavy, gravid, and pregnant with emotion in the slow and simple progression, like watching the geological shift of stones sped-up. “Ultradian (bvdub’s collapsing in the circadian reshape)” swells into a sublime raft of sound cruising across a bright landscape over its stunning 11:30 length. “Jiwa (zakè reshape)” arrives on slowly morphing loops of orchestral drone and piano. Each piece is beautiful and stands on its own while being an integral part of this sublime collection.
