As if guided by a presence at the universe’s edge, subtle clicks and glitches punctuate Post Ambient Lux—ephemeral and elusive, slipping away into sonic haze. Sparse yet evolving, these elements reflect shifting light patterns that draw listeners into the work’s unique allure.

Released July 28, Post Ambient Lux is a full-length LP by experimental sound artist Igor Dyachenko—a nuanced journey through rich textures and immersive sonic landscapes. Featuring collaborations with Corell, mu tate, and Nick Malkin, complemented by Yaro Svyatykh’s artwork and Amos Turner’s design, this stands among the most Appendix-coded works to date: an intricate fusion of technique, perception, and the deep emotional impact of focused listening.

Drifting ambient layers and solemn spheres of sound create a genre all their own, as suggested by the title. These pieces unfold as distant, luminous reveries—flowing, folding, and reshaping in real time. Surreal soundscapes emerge, woven from shuffled synths and glitch-like threads, where Dyachenko embraces the art of dissolving audio layers into constantly shifting forms. Melodic blurs appear like fleeting fragments, while particles of noise, debris, and distortion gather and disperse, coalescing into something unexpectedly cohesive.

As if guided by a presence at the universe’s edge, subtle clicks and glitches punctuate the album—ephemeral and elusive, slipping away into sonic haze. Sparse yet evolving, these elements reflect shifting light patterns that draw listeners into the work’s unique allure. Post Ambient Lux is a staggering achievement in the art of sound and texture, inviting deep immersion and discovery.

“A transformative force of fluidity and a profound sense of belonging, in moments of dislocation, coexist in an equally powerful state of disquietude” ~Igor Dyachenko
