Every track is groovy, laid back and nasty, and is overall fit to carry the Cabaret Voltaire name, for fans old a new.
Laid back and nasty
As someone who is a big fan of Cabaret Voltaire I was very pleased to hear Richard Kirk had announced a new album under the original CV name. I had enjoyed his solo outing on Dasein and was curious to see what would be next. This album does not disappoint—if you were looking for him to pick up where he left off with The Conversation and International Language, this is exactly what he has done, adding some newly learned tricks and strategies from years gone by. Every track is groovy, laid back and nasty, and is overall fit to carry the Cabaret Voltaire name, for fans old a new.
Shadow of Fear is available on Mute. [Release page | Bandcamp]
