Carefully balancing dementia against a backdrop of augmented melodies for abandoned lounges, Baconhead’s blistering maze of high-energy tracks are as ripe as they’ll ever get.
[Release page] Coming across as a disjointed mixture of Shadowhuntaz production versus Alder And Elius’ eccentric rhythms, Baconhead punctures the brain with the Astro Sludge EP, a twisted capsule of leftfield dubstep, 70’s techno/funk and mangled hip-hop. Video games are spliced at the edges with psychedelic instrumentation, interwoven vocal rhymes, miniscule atmosphere’s and a knack for the surreal. This 12″ release for Eat Concrete, the first in a new series, slaps together rhythmic grit and sci-fi effects for a slice of deconstructed electrified mayhem. The Astro Sludge EP not only focuses on bass-infestations, each sonic assault rattles the dance floor from left to right creating frequency pulses that will easily adhere to the likes of Funckarma and Jimmy Edgar. Carefully balancing dementia against a backdrop of augmented melodies for abandoned lounges, Baconhead’s blistering maze of high-energy tracks are as ripe as they’ll ever get.
Astro Sludge is released on Eat Concrete. [Release page]
