36 is to release a new album, Seconds & Forever, on 1st May, Madrid’s Mystic & Quantum label playing host to the prolific ambienteer for two eighteen-minute tracks. That makes 36 minutes of 36 material (see what he did there?) spread over multiple movements. The record will be pressed on limited white 12″ vinyl, in a nifty hand-made silkscreen thick grey cardboard sleeve, with the digital version cued up for later release.

Seconds & Forever pre-orders will be available from around the 1st April.

I do reviews and commentary mainly on ambient/drone, but also operate within a beat-driven triangle whose coordinates are the more adventurous ends of techno, post-dub, and IDM. To illustrate, this week the flow from the Loco stereo has ranged from Steve Roach through Stephan Mathieu to Kangding Ray—a spectrum of space-ambience pulse'n'atmo. Beyond listening and reviewing, I have other ways of engaging with music, e.g. self-assembled mix creations and audio-doodle under the alias albient (via Soundcloud and Mixcloud). Based in Bristol, epicentre of '90s Trip-hop and ’00s Dub-step in the Wild West of England.
