There is nothing extra here in these sparse sketchlike environments, no landmarks, just a beach and a horizon—sometimes sparse clouds. You may end up very far indeed from where you came in.
Subtle morphing leads and atmospheric sounds
A true ambient album in the purest, most Eno/Gas sense of the word. The songs on Liande (by Saint-Petersburg, Russia-based Ivan Kamaldinov) are generally based around subtle morphing leads and atmospheric sounds suggestive of an environmental space. The sonic movement here is found lurking in the shadows and the progression of each track is very slow and subtle. Often the tracks twist themselves into very unusual, or at least, unexpected, moods over time. There is nothing extra here in these sparse sketchlike environments, no landmarks, just a beach and a horizon—sometimes sparse clouds. You may end up very far indeed from where you came in.
