Tympanik Audio administers a primed collection that defies specific explanation. It’s basically a matter of letting the gravity of this release take over as various musical cohorts fine-tune the trajectory of each original chemical element. They’ve succeeded at altering the sequence while keeping the high-temperature solar flares to a minimum.

c.db.sn ‘At The End Of It All Remixed’

[Release page] The cover art for At The End Of It All Remixed features a snapshot of our celestial star (the Sun) and as some might be aware gravity continues to push downward to its core as energy pushes outward to break through the surface. Such is the case with this remix assembly, so to speak. The initial artwork for At The End Of It All (Tympanik Audio, 2011) also featured this 27-million degree star, however, it was displayed in semi-contained form. Remixed, instead, displays solar eruptions and/or flares perhaps initiated by the astounding choice of remixers. Nonetheless, this heated balance of opposing forces keeps the entire system in-check. While there are plenty of unknowns yet to be discovered in the universe—enough to keep humans mystified for centuries—so too does c.db.sn in this release of smoldering electronic permutations.

While the title for the original work might suggest an end to everything—it’s not necessarily a negative impulse. Instead we’re left with pure electronic music iterations filled with imploding micro-organisms and explosive realities. Neutrons and protons collide in oddly coherent formation, the core of the original work remaining at the center and acting as a spherical mass in which familiar artists engage in sonic reconstruction. In doing so, a myriad of expertly focused interpretations is expelled. The resultant deformation of particles creates a fusion of industrialized dubstep (via Tineidae), electronic distillation chambers courtesy of Access To Arasaka, a post-rock / apocalyptic breakdown by Erode, volcanic percussion and scorched signals from Anklebiter, a lively reconfiguration from Displacer and definitive electrical contortions from Architect. And although these are just a few of the highlights, this assemblage of reworks has more to do with how terrestrials view the cosmos and how to let the multifaceted style of Remixed act as a soundtrack for these wonders. While there’s a plethora of universal audio explorations to digest, Tympanik Audio administers a primed collection that defies specific explanation. It’s basically a matter of letting the gravity of this release take over as various musical cohorts fine-tune the trajectory of each original chemical element. They’ve succeeded at altering the sequence while keeping the high-temperature solar flares to a minimum.
