Innovative and now veteran electronic ambient music project Drifting In Silence headed by sound designer Derrick Stembridge is back with a new album with roots in retro-ish space music with a spiritually functional new-age edge to invite the listener to a meditative state and departure from the mundane world. The delicate, meandering and enveloping soft synth-lines never cease to impulse intersidereal mental projection in poetical vastness. Spectral tone colors are in search of spiritual quiescence. This album is well crafted for connoisseurs of the genre, although, I tend to favor past projects. This is based on my subjective opinion as a passionate listener of classic analog for many years, then modern-day digitalized electronic music. Only for completists and fans of sacred space music among other micro subgenres which carry massive use of synthedelic textures shrouded in smoothly ambient realms. Also recommended for fans of DiN Records.
