Factory Label Shipping Express is an album released at the end of 2024 by Sun Yizhou and Liam Kramer-White. Sun Yizhou is a Beijing-based experimental musician who also runs the Aloe label. Liam Kramer-White (Beige, LMFAO, Winter’s Treasures, B33N) currently lives in Philadelphia and runs the Phons label. Factory Label Shipping Express is the first album they made together, via an exchange of emails and sound files, based on phone recordings.
Ultimately, my blurry left eye is saturated with color, and also veers off course with braindance and heavier industrial mechanics (“crash-70557”) that effectively highlights Jon Benderr’s wide sonic reach.
Images Sur La Mer is a two-part soundtrack dronescape that ebbs and flows into surreal textures, tones, and muted abstracts over the course of more than forty sparkling minutes.
Erratic yet unusually serene, offering a glimpse into a kaleidoscope of off-kilter synth sketches, rough IDM underpinnings, and sprinkling mellifluous tones around the margins.
It is, indeed, a record featuring collaborators from all around the world, from jazz musicians, to classical, to spoken poetry, there is a lot to explore, with each track also being an enjoyable experience—it’s not just variety for the sake of it, there’s a lot of effort everywhere here!
The atmosphere herein simply spills over non-existent—perhaps even floating—boundaries with a surplus of instrumental virtuosity, roughened textures, and vaporous brittle tones that time shift and alter before our own eyes.

Jazz and neo-classically informed piano and Rhodes-like timbres take center stage across the nine pieces gathered together for this debut full length effort. Interlaced ambient textures and rhythmic melodies round out the sound palette.
The homage to epic and neo-mythological science fiction novels from classic-era is implicitly brought up to the fore. Thus this soundtrack can be well recommended while reading visionary literature from Arthur Machen and Henry Rider Haggard where heavenly mysticism meets dark energies and horror stories.
Both Martin Boulton (aka Min-Y-Llan, Touched Music founder) and Jeroen Bax (aka exm) build incredibly surreal audio worlds. As their earlier releases were characterized as a “real demonstration of powerful synergy,” this eponymous release draws a recognizable pulse.
Veter glides by like gentle snow falling in the heart of winter, with its melodies drifting past light technoid flutter and a crisp chill in the air.
