Organic organisms and ghostly electronic slabs
Darker strewn beats and brooding bass inhabit these three tracks by Houston, Texas based Yin Yang Audio. “Exponential Growth” leads us down a cavernous void—a ragged trail that delivers echoed post-industrial patches and rhythmic turbulence with an ethereal voice buried deep in the mix near its opening. “Sacred Path” casts a larger shadow—the hypnotic flow, clangs, and surreal shuffling manages to further instill the artists’ knack for mysteriously tribal soundscapes. The title track closes this EP and is yet another baffling dark-ambient traverse—its heartbeat shifting into dramatic landscapes with an ebb and flow unearthing a plethora of slow motion drums and scattered debris. Soham is a meditative triplet, a symbiosis of organic organisms and ghostly electronic slabs start to end.
