Massive echoes overtake Return To Baseline, Yin Yang Audio’s latest for the ever-consistent Onset Audio imprint. Experimental bass and explosive, chugging rhythms, “Radiated” opens with a vengeance—its glitch and “rain-soaked cyberpunk” in full force. Within only five tracks, the stateside producer extracts infinite illbient-industrial realms and textured bass motifs (“Brazen Gamma”) as “Within Cells Interlinked” dives into ethereal and atmospheric dark (and emotive) tones to break the ice midway through. Dystopian sound worlds are culled on “From Substance To Dream,” a scorched electrical disturbance that’s both glitchy and unrelenting as “White Fountain” dives a few hundred kilometers into the Mariana Trench—its smudged low-end and sonar-sound escape is a powerhouse not to be missed.
