The sound on Ikkuna has a hand in dance and the other in the pocket, fishing for meaning, trying various techniques, loops and other experimentation. The pulse-beat of “Seina” reverses and mirrors its modules, playing in the territory of corpulent bass in a refreshing way – though this will be an aerial view for many prone to instant nerve ending, dancefloor-ready craftmaking. Instead this dares us to visit the den of the different. The title track concludes this short player with watery strings that just vault and recoil radiantly. Due to its limited release this will probably not make some proverbial top ten charts – but for me this is like my first listen to Pan Sonic when they were Panasonic. It must be the Skandanavian air. The disc also boasts a video component by Vygandas Simbelis called “In Army of Lovers.” Order this break-out disk for your very own.
