At times, the sound feels almost mechanical—like a dishwasher trying to interpret a broken InSinkErator’s message—as grinding microscopic clicks and bleeps collide within their own labyrinth before retreating into four states of shattered stillness.

Released in August 2024, Seconde Peau Plastique_Désaccord presents a 4-piece suite spanning 15 minutes each, crafted by Salad Process & pä for the Barcelona-based experimental electronic collective, Evel. The result is an intricate blend of arcane field recordings, disheveled found sounds, and subtle drones and tones that compete for attention within an understated audio landscape.

The collaboration between pä (Paulo da Fonseca and Filipa Campos) and Salad Process (Édouard Ribouillaut and Daniel Dariel) creates a delicate tension, weaving through vast, open spaces where fractured synth lines merge with unpredictable, dissolving patterns. At times, the sound feels almost mechanical—like a dishwasher trying to interpret a broken InSinkErator’s message—as grinding microscopic clicks and bleeps collide within their own labyrinth before retreating into four states of shattered stillness.
