Final Form is the realization of OISATSANA’s gently crumpled soundscapes, accompanied by the granular crunch of electrical signals glitching in tandem. Here, the many disjointed rhythms and strange noises seem to coalesce, almost merging into a single, greater mass. Creating unique vistas of flickering beats and shuffling, microscopic DSP, is largely offset by its roughened notes and shifting tones (“The Hub,”) and drifting ambient sparks (“Lost Files” and “Previous Form.”)
Overall, Final Form‘s tough yet calmly engulfing electronics (“Assimilation” and “Tail Size”) allow us to adjust to it with ease. Our senses are readily able to absorb these mysterious yet organic tracks front to back and in their final form thanks to this surplus of soothing architectural overflows and saccharine blips and bleeps (“Pompom”) transporting us to a previous era.
