J. Gorecki returns with Simulacra, a meticulously crafted seven-track journey that balances warm analog textures, fractured rhythms, and immersive atmospheres into one of his most fully realized electronic statements to date.

J. Gorecki finds solace in abstract melodic pulsars, ambient glow, and synth strands drifting through the breeze across Simulacra, a seven-piece collection introduced by the sleek sonic projection of “Between the Lines.” Beat fragments quickly take shape on “Covert Inc.,” an agile, elemental excursion through glitch and grit that channels Fragile X‘s unmistakable analog production style into early Toytronic-era sensibilities, polished with remarkable precision by the Bricolage founder.

Gorecki‘s craftsmanship shines brightest within minute details, where gleaming synth work intertwines effortlessly with an old-school spirit. A technoid shimmer defines “The Tourist,” while “Wall to Wall” ventures deeper into dub-techno territory, locking into hypnotic momentum. “Big Ask” rebounds through fractured rhythmic frameworks and flickering beat patterns before the atmosphere gradually loosens its grip. Penultimate cut “C.R.E.A.M.” glides across brighter tonal clusters and breakbeat layers, leading into closing drill’n’bass detour “Async Cynsa,” which arrives unexpectedly with punchy breaks and weightless ambient currents that slowly dissolve into silence, completing a richly varied exploration of forward-thinking electronic form from a gifted sound scrambler.
