In this moving 9-tracker Human Condition, Gorecki explores emotive forms that are delicate and subtle on the broad strokes, with intensifying eclectic details baked within.
Tantalizing ambient and downtempo electronic gems
Fragile X is the alias of Glasgow based musician, producer and sound design artist J. Gorecki, known more widely in electronic music circles for his dedicated work as founder of the Bricolage record label. In this moving 9-tracker Human Condition, Gorecki explores emotive forms that are delicate and subtle on the broad strokes, with intensifying eclectic details baked within as our ears and mind are engulfed in these tantalizing ambient and downtempo electronic gems.
A celebration of all things good whilst asking questions of ourselves that are dreamt collectively in times of solitude. Recorded from the start of 2021 until that summer, we see Fragile X emerge from a befuddled global year prior with contemplative thoughts and sentiments reflective not just of their own, but also the people closest to them.
“Human Condition is very much an album inspired by his partner Marie. Charting what he considers as the biggest aspect of the human condition, personal growth.” – Cue Dot Records
For those who are familiar with their previous works on Bricolage and artists that feature on close by peer labels See Blue Audio and Waxing Crescent will take much interest in this release. Perhaps Fragile X’s most mature to date and certainly boldest in sound design. If this is a new name to yourself, then take a confident step forward along with Fragile X and sink deep into a cognitive state on this exquisite trip.
Personal favorites: “Cogito Ergo Sum,” “Object/Subject,” and “Eternal as Centre.”
