Beautifully reflective sound miniatures reveal astonishing angelic-elegiac moments with an infinite sense of quietness and romantic pathos.
Atsuhito Omori debuted his work as Ex Confusion in 2012 with a sumptuous dreamy-like pop ambient album titled Embrace. The instrumentalist and sound designer is back with a drone-based melancholic ambient work signed on the very recommended independent label n5md. His previous effort was already published by this label and the musical identity of his new album delivers a logical continuity, perhaps more focused on fragile texturally acoustic soundscapes and softly sentimental airs. Fluxuous droney organic waves interact with absolutely impressionistic-colorfully emotional acoustic sound tapestries largely made of unprocessed guitar tones and detached pianistic melodious lines. Each track is sufficiently imaginative, emotionally charged and mysteriously evocative to keep the listener awakened from start to the end. Those beautifully reflective sound miniatures reveal astonishing angelic-elegiac moments with an infinite sense of quietness and romantic pathos. Droning, shoegazing and soothing at its maximum, this album will ravish fans of mellow solitary ambient reveries of Eluvium, Stars of the Lid, Explosions in the Sky.
