Ice-cold tension techno
Madrid’s Dmas3 plant their second EP of ice-cold tension techno pounders via Synthetic Absence. These are not routine tunnel techno tools but tightly fisted mood elevators built for sweat-slick floors and late-night momentum. Opening cut “Recursive Absence” arrives like a white-noise ripple rolling through steel corridors, a heavy wave of drop-kick karate rhythms made for spinning out like a whirling dervish. Reverberating echoes bloom in heated layers, strafing the air with filtered pressure and restless motion. Distorted bells and coiled springs twist and strangle fresh life into the ears, turning tension into movement. Second track “Synthetic Mourning” spreads outward as a wicked horizon of machine pulse and fog. It’s the sound of dry gears begging for oil, or an unhinged playground roundabout bucking loose from its axis before finally breaking into night-drive hypnosis. A bristling pair of tracks built from pressure, grit, momentum and controlled industrial chaos, engineered for dark rooms, restless bodies and heads locked deep inside the machinery of their own becoming.
