V/A :: Distant Arrays Volume 02 (Satellite Era)

Satellite Era returns with their Distant Arrays series volume two with tracks by Agent O, Brendan Rincon, STREETS & BitLoud, and Zuni tearing apart the soundscape with fluid audio designs and broken, slapstick electronics, roughened breaks, and heavy bass.

Expanding heavily drenched sonic mayhem

Four tracks stretched over 18 minutes, Satellite Era returns with their Distant Arrays series volume two with tracks by Agent O, Brendan Rincon, STREETS & BitLoud, and Zuni tearing apart the soundscape with fluid audio designs and broken, slapstick electronics, roughened breaks, and heavy bass.

Here we find Satellite Era co-founder STREETS and UK-based BitLoad collaborate on “Overcurrent” an explosive dance floor oriented track that dives into drill’n bass nostalgia and aggressive rhythms to shatter the ears. Newcomer and Michigan-based Zuni obliterates drum’n bass dynamics and slanted downtempo dub soundscapes on “Persistent” as Agent O delivers a rugged UK garage bass tune that flashes back and forth between old-school and new-school experimental breaks. Phoenix-based Brendan Rincon’s “Vitreous” drives the message home with melodic bits and bytes tangled around energetic and fast-paced drums and slippery low-end wobbles. Distant Arrays Volume 2 fine tunes Satellite Era’s mission to expand heavily drenched sonic mayhem.
