AJNA :: Oracular (Cyclic Law)

The album progressively goes into a black maelstrom of desolate, creeped-out, and ghostly-like atmospheres as well as rich and emotional apexes.

Power noise industrialism with a cinematic ambient edge

After languorous years spent on digital editions, the isolationist, industrial and deep ambient project, AJNA gave a new turn and radical impulse to its musical trajectory thanks to the publication of a few albums for Reverse Alignment and for Cyclic Law.

Oracular appears to be in the pure tradition of power noise industrialism with a cinematic ambient edge. Next to monophonic drones based on excessively low bass frequencies the interest of this album resides in the dynamic timbres obtained by a series of treatments (reverbs, delay…) on cryptical and utterly dark sounding metallic objects. The album progressively goes into a black maelstrom of desolate, creeped-out, and ghostly-like atmospheres as well as rich and emotional apexes in the intoxicating “Parallel Hypnosis” and “Astral Hybridization.”

A deep and resonant soundscaping ritualism in abandoned places (like old mansions, asylums) dark caves and post-apocalyptic refuges. Would definitely make a soundtracky installation for an exhibition of URBex photographies. Recommended for fans of nihilistic, sinister and extra-sensory ambient excursions by Lustmord, Lull, RAAN, Camanecroszcope, (early) Atrium Carceri and Archon Satani.

Oracular is available on Cyclic Law.
