Optical is a dedicated component within the Decibel Festival showcasing VJs, digital and physical art, film, and other image driven creative works. The music events throughout the weekend will contain heavy visual counterparts, culminating in a daylong multimedia fusion at the Broadway Performance Hall on Sunday, September 17th.
This year Decibel features an entire conference centered on education, one of the main goals of the DB Organization. DB-CON will combine audio and visual technology workshops, product demonstrations, clinics, and panel discussions.
The conference kicks off Friday evening with the first ever “DB 2006 Opening Gala Event” (music performances and guest speaker TBA) and continues as a daytime conference on Saturday the 18th. All DB-CON events will be held at the Broadway Performance Hall, which will offer a full theater, demo room and multiple lobbies dedicated to merchandise tables. To further encourage musical teaching, conference tickets will be offered at half-price for students.
