Autechre, Clark, Dan Deacon, Eskmo, John Tejada, Richard Devine, Thievery Corporation and many more will demonstrate their sonic gymnastics at this year’s edition of the Decibel Festival.
Decibel Festival, now celebrating its 12th year, continues to maintain its place as one of the country’s finest festivals of electronic music, despite stiff competition from Moogfest. Decibel now puts on dozens of events all year long, but its flagship event is still the festival, which is five days long (September 23rd-27th, 2015).
This year’s lineup features performances by over 100 musical artists at 28 separate showcases, across 11 venues in Seattle. Once again the festival’s organizers have selected artists representing many styles of electronic music, but with a focus on club-friendly techno, house, electro, and IDM. Internationally renowned performers in the lineup include Autechre, Clark, Dan Deacon, Eskmo, John Tejada, Richard Devine, Thievery Corporation and many more. In addition to all the live performances, there will be DJ sets by audience favorites including Bonobo, Marcel Dettmann, and Nicolas Jaar. Decibel will also feature cutting-edge video art, daytime boat excursions, and late night dance parties. An extensive schedule of panels and workshops in the dB Conference program will cover sound design and music production, along with the latest hardware and software.
Igloo Magazine’s Thomas Fang will offer a post-festival review and visual archive!
