An hour-long mix celebrating Ocoeur’s aural diversity
As n5MD is about to release Franck Zaragoza’s 7th Ocoeur album Connections, Mike Cadoo (n5MD) went back and listened to his catalog from the beginning—starting, of course, with his debut Les Hommes Ne Savent Pas Voler from Spain’s Música Vermella netlabel. That release is pretty different from where Franck currently resides musically, however, a few signposts were already in place. This led Mike to see if he could make a mix spanning Ocoeur’s entire catalog by also including works from some of his soundtrack work. It was a surprisingly fluid process, and while it started as something for personal listening, after completing it, and sharing it with Franck, and us at Igloo, we agreed that it should be shared with the public. Mike chose some deep cuts, comp tracks, and works from the aforementioned soundtracks for an hour-long mix that celebrates the aural diversity of the impressive Ocoeur discography.
Connections is available on n5MD September 10, 2021.
