Setting off from Newcastle is Flight Recorder’s Mick Clarke. The Northern man has been responsible for some excellent releases under his Iron Blu moniker as well as curating a spread of quality 12”s on his own imprint. Mick is also behind IntergalacticFM’s Radio Oscillations show, a weekly transmission where the Tynesider captures his audience with a range of sounds spanning some five decades. This half century outlook is employed for Clarke’s exclusive mix for Igloo. The soundtrack will immediately call for double takes. Alongside experimental electronics you’ll find blood flowing rock, ambient soundscapes sit next minimal synth, industrial and juddering electro / italo renaissance. Expect to be introduced to something old, something new, and all from the man they call Iron Blu.
