Rugged, glitched-out techno, low-end bass and punchy rhythms round out this new release for Detroit Underground. The Northern Spain-based Vortex Count lets sound migrate into darker corridors. Direct and to the point, each track is a seismic avalanche for the senses—echoed electro-tech shards (“mettareflector” and “habitat”), modular streams, clips, blips and voice regeneration madness (ie. “phase SW02 [exoenzime]”) are precisely elevated into far off (digital) worlds. Though Mettadure may be a teaser for what’s to come, there’s a definitive edge that is torn into hundreds of bits within this 5-pack.
