“Baalm” opens with contemplative downtempo currents—perhaps the perfect accompaniment to a Stranger Things episode—its pensive beatwork drifting on an ephemeral ambient pulse. From there, the technoid sharpness of “Esteemed Leaves” stirs senses with hyper-modulated drive.
